Lauren and Markie
Lauren Ash-Morgan, actress and member of SSC's board since 2011, is the Founding co-artistic director of the recently formed theatre firm Speech of Fire. She was the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. As Artistic director of SSC, she was the company's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. Although she usually led from within her acting ensemble, in her last year of work with SSC King Lear, she took on the role of director and light designer. Apart from acting, she's also worked on a number of games shows. In her early years she grew up at Walnut Creek with her siblings and poetry writer Marylee Post. She attended Las Lomas High School where she was a cheerleader. Following a short stint at Pomona College, she graduated from Lewis & Clark College. Post had previously been married Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross has been her husband and co-writer from 1982. Together, they have two daughters. Post an amazing actor and an ideal mother and wife she is an inspiration to several Hollywood celebrities.
