Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his distinctive style. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta currently, she is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician by playing and singing at the local church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. She was the main keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
