Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively personality, explains how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went to earn an English diploma and Communications diploma in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. While in Italy she developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and profession. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion that she had for cooking with others.
